FUU (cable phase identification unit)
We have been producing the Phase Color Out Unit since 1990. This is a measuring system for the safe selection of the phase conductors in (ground) cables for low, medium, or high voltage systems, where the cable must be earthed with an earthing set due to applicable safety requirements. In addition to being fast and user-friendly, the FUU is above all safe. With its built-in safety systems, it meets all requirements for safe working in high-voltage grids. Dutch energy companies use the FUU as a standard phase coloring method for medium-voltage grids in particular. The FUU comes in various configurations, including those for cable diameters up to 50mm or up to 100mm.
European safety standards
Because the standard prescribed earthing equipment is used when measuring with the FUU unit, this measurement always takes place in a safe and correct manner on a voltage-free and earthed cable. In this way, the FUU is ahead of European safety standards.
